Shamanism Q&A and FREE Intro to the Pachakuti Mesa Shamanic Tradition
Are you interested in the 5-Part Shamanic Apprenticeship in the Pachakuti Mesa Tradition (PMT) of Cross-Cultural Shamanism?
Do you have questions about the tradition, lineage, what you will get out of it, who the teacher is?
Would you like to hear from people who have already experienced the apprenticeship with me?
Then this 2-hour introduction and Q&A session IS FOR YOU!”
Join me, Amy Mermaid Isakov, sanctioned teacher of the Pachakuti Mesa Tradition, for a conversation about the apprenticeship.
Is it for you?
How would participating benefit you?
Will becoming a mesa carrier help you to offer healing to yourself, friends and family, and Mother Earth?
Are there opportunities to create and participate in earth-honoring ceremonies with like-minded community members?
Bring your questions and curiosity on Sunday, March 14th!
The Pachakuti Mesa Tradition was created by don Oscar Miro Quesada, a Peruvian altomisayoq and northern coastal curandero. don Oscar has woven together the ancestral shamanic teachings received during his lengthy apprenticeships with two Peruvian shamanic lineage traditions. The PMT cosmovision and ritual and ceremonial practices you will learn in the apprenticeship provide a powerful architecture for the unfoldment and remembering of your soul purpose. For more information on the PMT, please visit and enjoy the PMT web page heartofthehealer.org.
Here's the Zoom invitation. The schedule is for 2 hours, but we will end whenever all questions have been answered.
FOOD OF THE GODS: The Despacho as Ritual Expression of Gratitude and Reciprocity
Come Learn all about what to feed the unseen world and make a Despacho!
There is so much depth and wisdom in the simple things that will catalyze your relationship with the All… come learn more!
Despacho is the Spanish word for a ritual offering made with reverent intention in sacred reciprocity (ayni) for that which has been given to us. This tradition has been passed from don Oscar Miro-Quesada, originator of the Pachakuti Mesa Tradition (PMT), to Amy Isakov, Sanctioned Teacher of the PMT.
Similar to the Buddhist sand paintings, these offerings are arranged in a mandala like fashion and then bundled up and offered to the unseen realms.
In order to participate you will need to have:
A postage stamp size piece of jerky or other dried animal product
A small flower or herb or piece of plant, fresh or dried
A tiny crystal or crushed mineral product
A tiny flammable human-made object, ideally something you made
A piece of incense or an incense stick
Consecration ingredients (cornmeal, tobacco, bay leaves, Florida waters)
A white piece of paper, no smaller than Letter sized
A red string (any color is ok if you can’t find red)
If you have access, please also bring fresh flowers or respectfully gather some fresh offerings such as moss or leaves from the nature around you.
Cost:: $33 USD

Winter Solstice Ceremony
Please Join us for a Winter Solstice Despacho Ceremony and Sacred Fire facilitated by Amy Mermaid Isakov.
The winter solstice is the threshold of stillness. It is a profound opportunity to gather in community and slow down, together.
The despacho ceremony, if you've never heard of it, comes from the indigenous people of the Andes, in South America. I was apprenticed in these arts by my teacher, don Oscar Miro-Quesada as well as many people in his community of ritual artists. It is, essentially, a way of making your prayers manifest in this world, through the patterning of all types of offerings, some specific and some not, into a balanced and beautiful mandala, which we then completely turn over to the sacred fire.
Please bring:
A blanket to sit on (chairs and back-jacks available)
A refillable water bottle
An object for the mesa (will return home with you)
If you are able wear all black!
POTLUCK DINNER (please bring a dish to share) and Music and Merriment TO FOLLOW
Reciprocity $20 solo or $15 if you bring a friend.

Valley Forge Mountain

Introduction to Shamanism and
The Pachakuti Mesa Tradition

with Amy Mermaid Isakov
“The world of the Pachakuti Mesa carrier is not a world to know, to study, grasp or gain insight into, but a world to live in, to participate in, to be part of, to collectively fashion, make, enhance, and co-create.” - don Oscar Miro-Quesada
The Pachakuti Mesa Tradition (PMT), emphasizes both personal and planetary healing. This practice involves ritual and ceremonial mastery of the mesa as passed down through the lineage of Peruvian curanderos. The mesa is an altar-like arrangement of empowered objects, a shamanic tool which is used to engage enlightened beings and elemental energies for restoration of balance, health and harmony between humans, other dimensions, and our natural world.
