Amy Mermaid Isakov was born on Long Island, New York, was raised outside Baltimore, Maryland, took a wide stroll around the US, and now resides in Phoenixville, PA - just west of Philadelphia. She is an innovative dreamer, intermittent writer, chronic singer, mother to a daughter, and daughter to the Mother.
She is passionate about Big Stories, Spirit, music, ritual arts, and ceremony. Having left the traditional education path, she has studied in-depth with shamans, bodyworkers, evolutionary thought leaders, green builders, and herbalists since 2001.
While working at The Shift Network from 2011-2018, she had the opportunity to work closely with many of the world’s leading mystics, dreamers, and visionaries including don Oscar Miro-Quesada, who would become her teacher. She has been carrying the Pachakuti Mesa since 2014, and teaching since 2019. She also began studying with dream teacher Robert Moss in 2014 and has been an Active Dreamer since, becoming a teacher in 2020.
She is ever the student, finding enlightenment in the Emerald podcast, The Mythic Body course, new friends, the natural world, and most especially, trees (Learn about Amy’s daily trees communion). She is also a founding member of the Salt Trails grief collective in Philadelphia which offers community grief experiences that honor grief through gatherings, rituals, and art.
Amy seeks to cultivate reverence, joy, and helpful heartache through regular gatherings and classes, as we all grow back into being good custodians of our planet, ourselves, and all our relations.
